More Positive and Better Mood

Posted By: True Rest

I just had my very first float last night, Grand Opening day. My Husband made the appointment for me since we saw a glimpse of it on the news and wanted to know more. I was a bit nervous to do it because I’ve never done this before but it was amazing! I still feel the affects of it. It relieved a lot of my stress and made me really think about what I wanted in life. Something about it really got me thinking. I feel more positive about everything and I can tell I’m in a better mood. I would love to do it again! I just wish ya’ll were closer to Maricopa:) but it’s definitely worth the drive. My Husband wants to try it now too! So we’ll probably see you guys again soon!

In the past decade relaxation training has been one of a number of behavioral approaches to the treatment of chronic pain. This report presents data on patients receiving multimodal treatment for chronic pain, including REST-assisted relaxation training. The patients received individual stress-oriented psychotherapy, biofeedback-assisted relaxation training and REST assisted relaxation training. The use of flotation REST will be discussed through a comparison of the subjective effects of REST relaxation of biofeedback assisted relaxation specifically regarding the perception of pain.

Floating for Cellulite Reduction?

Posted By: True Rest

Just in time for the holidays, I received this fascinating comment from Sandy Melendez:

I am seemingly overweight (about 25 pounds). Within my families genetic make-up, and social lifestyle, I am still thinner than the rest of the women. Unhappy with my problems with weight, I went to see numerous specialists. I don’t have high blood pressure, nor any other ailment like a thyroid problem that can be regulated through medical treatment.

For my 30th birthday last month, a great friend of mine, gave me a gift certificate to experience float therapy for the first time. This wonderful man didn’t explain all of the benefits I’d receive from partaking in the activity of floating. He just explained how it alleviates stress. Nonetheless, floating was a wonderful experience mentally, physically, and emotionally.

The aftermath benefit is what has astounded me the most. …
