Meditation at True REST, a balance

We just recently began offering the Falun Dafa Meditation and QiGong classes at True REST. These are always free to learn.
The Tuesday night class has been going great and the energy has been very peaceful and clean. It’s that good “I don’t want to move” feeling. Feeling at peace with yourself and your surroundings can be difficult in the hectic world we live in and I am pleased we can now offer this wonderful practice at the Spa.
On a side note I did a 1 hour meditation last night in full lotus and the energy was quite amazing. I definitely felt a subtle energy lightening my body at a deep cellular level. My mind, while not completely tranquil, was peaceful and it definitely put all things into perspective. I definitely realized I need to make this a daily practice and set a good foundation for my daily activities. There is a Zen saying something to the effect that you should sit in meditation for 20 minutes and if you are too busy you should sit for one hour. While funny, there is some truth in there.
My vow to myself is to do the things I need to do everyday to balance my life, family, spiritual improvement and other vows I made to myself and on a cosmic scale. True balance is no easy thing, but I feel it is a key for stable growth and improvement on all aspects of the self.
Until next time,

Nick Janicki
